About DataCertPrep
DataCertPrep is an independent certification prep platform for data and cloud professionals, built and maintained by a practicing data engineer with 15+ years across analytics, data platforms, and cloud — and holder of multiple Microsoft, Databricks, and cloud data certifications.
It exists because most prep options are one of two bad extremes: expensive per-exam question banks, or free community dumps full of wrong answers. We think one subscription should cover your whole certification path — accurately.
What's covered
49 courses: 46 certifications from 11 vendors — including AWS, Microsoft (including Azure), Google Cloud, Databricks, Snowflake, dbt, HashiCorp and GitHub — plus 3 DataCertPrep AI courses. Together they hold 11,000+ published practice questions, alongside flashcards, domain study guides, and timed mock exams where a course has enough questions. Each certification page lists exactly what is published for it.
How the content is built
1. Start from the official exam guide
Every course begins with a blueprint taken from the vendor's current official exam guide: the exam domains, their weightings, and the topics listed under each. Where a vendor doesn't publish exact weightings, they are estimated from the structure of the guide.
2. Draft against the blueprint, with AI assistance
Questions, flashcards and study guides are drafted offline with AI assistance (Anthropic's Claude), one domain at a time, against that blueprint. Questions are scenario-based and each comes with an explanation. Nothing is generated on the fly while you study.
3. Automated checks before anything goes live
Content is schema-validated before import: every question must have its options, the correct answer(s), an explanation and a difficulty. Answer positions are rebalanced so the correct option's letter isn't a giveaway. Only content marked as published is ever served.
4. Re-check when the exam changes
An automated job checks the vendors' exam-guide pages for changes every week. When a blueprint changes — new domains, new exam codes, new weightings — the course is re-aligned and the reference date on its page is updated.
5. Fix what readers report
Practice questions have a discussion thread, and corrections can be sent by email. Confirmed errors are fixed in the content and re-published.
What we stand by
Built from official exam guides
Every question bank, study guide, and flashcard deck starts from the current official exam guide and domain blueprint for that certification — never from community dumps, which are frequently wrong, outdated, and a violation of exam NDAs.
Scenario-based, like the real exam
Modern cloud and data exams test judgment, not recall. Our questions put you in a scenario and make you choose between plausible options — and the explanations cover why the wrong answers are wrong.
Domain-weighted practice accuracy
Practice accuracy is weighted by our domain allocation. Repeat attempts count, so use unseen questions and hands-on work to assess understanding; this score does not predict an official exam result.
Exam-guide reference dates
Course pages show an exam-guide reference date. This is not a claim that every question has received an independent review. Check the current official blueprint before booking an exam.
Why not exam dumps?
“Dumps” are copies of live exam questions shared after people sit the exam. Certification vendors' candidate agreements prohibit sharing or using live exam content, and the answers circulating with them are often wrong or out of date. Memorising them also skips the part that makes the certification worth having: understanding why one option is right. Our questions are original and written to the published objectives instead.
